A spiral stone labyrinth on the shoreline under a pink and blue sunrise sky
Storm clouds retreat, making way for blue sky, over Rainbow's End Labyrinth in Hull, Massachusetts.

Rainbow’s End Labyrinth is located on the north end of Nantasket Beach in Hull, Massachusetts. My husband and I constructed it in the late summer of 2021. It was one of our first “dates” when we first met! We then got married at the labyrinth in summer of 2025. Who knew!? We modeled the labyrinth after the one in Chartres Cathedral in France, yet with 8 rings instead of 12. As of August 2026, it is still intact! It has endured many nor’easters and welcomed many beach walkers.  I do the best I can to maintain the labyrinth regularly.

The labyrinth is a symbol of the human journey. As I live my life, I am constantly navigating new territory yet revisiting familiar places. My path is inherently uncertain and full of unexpected turns. Yet it is also as sure as the solid rocks beneath my feet and as certain as the sun rising over the horizon day after day.  As I embrace life one step at a time and carry with me the lessons of what I have already traveled, I discover that my path is always FOR me. In this way, the labyrinth of my life is the very expansion of my soul!

Rainbow’s End Labyrinth is open to all visitors who can navigate a bit of rocky terrain! You can access the labyrinth by walking onto the beach near X Street, and then walking about 5-10 minutes to the left over the rocks. Please respect the space when you visit, and be careful of any poison ivy plants, which sometimes appear in the summer through fall. If you feel so inclined, please bring a rock painted with a quote or image that speaks to your human journey!

Rainbow’s End Labyrinth can be found on Google Maps: Rainbow’s End Labyrinth. Look close! You can see it on satellite!
